Americans Will Rally Around Trump on Iran
The overwhelming majority of Americans will support the presidentthe Democrats have put their head in a noose while standing over a trap-door. The consequences are predictable.
Conrad Black
FTA:
Apart from being unverifiable, and giving a tremendous stimulus to Irans terrorist and other destabilizing activities around the Middle East, the treaty (also ratified by France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia and China), only dealt with fissile material, not rocket development or the perfection of a warhead. So Irans nuclear military research has continued apace, as it escalated its terrorist activities: a terrible and indefensible agreement the Democrats are now robotically defending.
The reimposition of sanctions by the United States has badly squeezed the Iranian economy and its oil exports have fallen substantially. The Iranian economy has partially collapsed and there is immense discontent; months of rioting required very heavy-handed action by the secret police and army to repress. The Democrats who would take Trumps place have thus very conveniently lined up on the side of the appeasement of Iran, the toleration without reprisal of all Irans terrorist outrages, the absolute right to life of the worlds leading terrorist and Americas greatest single enemy.
There could not be a better foreign policy political gift to the president.
Seriously? Go to the UN? Seriously?

An Electronic Embargo Could Cripple Iran
Taking down a long-standing adversary of the United States, with a minimum loss of life at a relatively low cost and by remote, high-tech means would be an enormous payoff. Imagine that.

FTA:
Specifically, the United States could seek relief at the United Nations by asking for an embargo under U.N. Article 41. Embargoes are a tried-and-true tactic, but physical embargoes require considerable time and resources to deliver definitive effects. Economic sanctions have restricted Irans ability to import and export goods, and have done damage to the Iranian economy.
But an electronic embargo on bytes contained within hard and cellular telephones, satellite communications, broadcast television, and most especially Irans internet and social media, however, could happen much more quickly and could help bring the crisis with Iran to an acceptable resolution far more rapidly.
Use the United Nations
This new electronic embargo can be manifested through a contemporary re-evaluation of the language of Article 41, whereupon the use of high technology by the United States under U.N. auspices could be far more effective than unilateral U.S. military actions.
