I read children’s literature! It can be wonderful. I’m watching Adam’s Rib right now but thinking of Hepburn’s expostulation “Christopher Columbus!” from Little Women. George Cukor at his best.

I have ALWAYS loved children's lit; never outgrew it. The Victorian/Edwardian and early 20th century "classics" have great plots, are filled with vocabulary words that today's college students don't know/can't use, and it's criminal that kids are not reading this stuff anymore.

LOL..."CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS"!

Being Hungarian I was surprised to learn while he was born in Manhattan his parents were Hungarian and the pronunciation of his last name is anglicized. In Hungarian it is said as soo kor which actually means sugar. :)
