There are about ~~1.5 Keto acolites on FB and reddit.

Because it is a fad. The low-carb fad reared it’s ugly head back in 2004 and faded out. Keto will as well. But it will do a lot of damage to people first. A hell of a lot of people smoked cigarettes at one time also.

I appreciate your stance on wanting people to get as healthy as possible.

I believe people can have a variety of diets and be healthy. In that light, I believe you to be very wrong, as you believe only your approach is healthy. That is a bigoted approach that flies in the face of all sorts of scientific studies. In fact, the wealth of dietary information that has said saturated fats, sodium, and red meats were unhealthy have been disproven. The only healthy carbs are unrefined ones, which you thankfully eat. There are no “essential” carbs, though.

Without a doubt, lower carb is healthy and the American Diabetic Association admitted over a dozen years ago that a low carb diet was the only diet that stopped Type 2 diabetes—but they couldn’t endorse it because they believed it was too “difficult.” They admitted your diet was not capable of stopping diabetes, but that with drugs, the progression toward worsening diabetes could be slowed.
