We lived in South Orange County, five minutes from Laguna Beach. Heaven on Earth, then the Rats took ALL the Orange County GOP House Seats in 2018.
I realized then that I was living amongst the deranged.
We lived in California five times. Our son is still out there, he’s 35 now. He admits that the state is CrAzY. But he has built a life there, being there since 2005. He was here recently and went bonkers over our gas prices, less than half what he pays. Plus we have no state income tax in Texas... We have ZERO homeless in the town we live in!!!!!
Lived in San Marino 1988-90. Pasadena in 1997. Claremont 2002. Rancho Cucamonga 2005-07. Claremont again 2012-13. People keep telling me that houses cost 4 times more in California. Quite simply NOT TRUE. I KNOW better, I lived in Cal many time. There are many super cheap areas in California. And for example, new homes in Temecula cost just about the same price as in our area here NW of Austin. And inside Austin you can pay a million for a tiny shack 600 s.f.
The billboard reads, at entrance to our new neighborhood, NW of Austin. New homes from $200K. Ours was more than 3 times that. IF you see a sign here around Austin that gives “starting home prices” be sure to multiply it by 3 or 4 times. Heck, our lot is valued at $200K now without a house on it. Maybe homes salesmen are as dishonest as car salesmen now.
