Other media reports the Embassy itself has not been breached, no deaths of anyone, not of protesters, or US personnel. 1000 additional troops are en route.

Reality at this time is US troops are facing protesters still confined to the Green Zone, playing with matches, smoking up the place, quite Outside the compound, throwing things, breaking things, waving flags, coughing! like Hillary, and some have pooped out and gone home to nap. The “crowd” has thinned out for the moment.
Our troops appear overlooking the scene from the top of the wall, like the Alamo, non-plussed but ready, a couple of feet from one another, as if this is more of a situational drill, using tear gas and rubber bullets.
50 tents were pitched by demonstrators overnight. A few Hezbollah uniformed demonstrators have been seen among the crowd.
Trying to get IRAQ to stand up it’s own defense response is the mission.

Often the offices for visas or papers is near the street or parking area. Then you have a garden etc before you go into the embassy proper.
When I adopted my boys in Colombia 40 years ago, a car bomb was placed near the visa office, killing one applicant sitting near the door. But it was no where near the embassy itself, which had several more layers of security.
Ditto for here in the Philippines where demonstrations by leftists and explosive devices placed by Islamic terrorists happen a couple times a year. Missiles and drones however are a harder threat to stop.
During the war, US personnel were frequently hit by missiles aimed to inside the us zone, but rarely reported in the news.

Of course, the Iranians will embed wives and children or hide in civilian areas to show dead bodies to the MSM, just as they do in Israel or in Yemen, and the MSM will echo the anti American protest while ignoring atrocities by the Iranian backed terror groups.

What is breached, as I understand it, is the Green Zone, which the Iraqi government was supposed to seal off - but didn't.
What will always stick in my craw is how Zero turned Iraq over to Iran thus negating the sacrifices made by our brave and patriotic troops -- and these ungrateful rag heads storm our embassy for killing Iranian mercenaries. A pox upon them all!
