A mass exodus of hundreds of thousands of residents in blue states was to be expected because of their extremely high cost of living, Laguna Hills, Calif., Mayor Don Sedgwick said Tuesday.
Appearing on Fox & Friends with hosts Griff Jenkins and Dean Cain, Sedgwick said that its just too darn expensive to live in densely populated states like California and New York.
And, the Democrat liberal policies have contributed to that, he said.

Wrong. For Democrat IL and DEmopcrat Rust Belt cities it is all about the lack of jobs. It is mostly Democrats fleeing Democrat strongholds in the Rust Belt as it is Democrats, not Republicans who are jobless but wan to work.
They come to Red states for one reason: Jobs. Look at the rabbit warren apartment buildings going up in Atlanta Metro which are filling up very rapidly. It is not creature comforts. It is a job. These Democrats define their own identity by the job they have.
If they don’t have a job they don’t have an identity.

“What ballots get cast and what ballots get counted on Election Day are very different things in places like California”.
That’s true but you miss my point.
I’m not so sure about that; social liberals learn fiscal lesson, and may vote for fiscal conservatives (of either party).
People fleeing high-tax areas understand they just built a system for wealthier people than them.
