Here are some of the impact sites of the Iranian ballistic missiles that hit Al Asad airbase last night. They are not out in the middle of nowhere as I posited earlier this morning in my post. The impact points are between the main 10,000' runways, and the main garrison. Had personnel not been warned to take shelter prior to the attack, it is likely there would have been casualties to Americans or Coalition Forces, up to and including multiple fatalities.

This helps explain why Iran informed the Iraqis, ahead of impact or at or before launch, and bolsters the idea that Iran did this to save face, and- feared swift overwhelming retribution if there were any casualties.
