Trump’s year-end list of “results” included the boast that nearly 7 million Americans have been lifted off of food stamps,” which the administration credited to people being lifted out of poverty as a result of todays booming economy.
Indeed, the latest data from the Department of Agriculture shows that 7.7 million fewer Americans receive food stamps now than did when Trump entered the White House. The Agriculture Department administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, but the actual food stamp benefits are distributed by individual states.

Private payroll growth ended 2019 on a strong note, with companies adding 202,000 positions in December in another sign of a healthy labor market, according to a report Wednesday from ADP and Moodys Analytics.
The total was well above the 150,000 consensus estimate from economists surveyed by Dow Jones and sets the stage for the governments official count that will be released Friday. Economists expect the Labor Departments tally to show a gain of 160,000.
In addition to the solid December growth, ADP revised the initial November count of 67,000 up to 124,000.
Great news...more winning!....regarding the reduced food stamp rolls.
Once the illegals are deported - or self-deport! - and POTUS’ reforms kick in, that number will go down even more.
7.7 Million more Americans have jobs, thanks to trump!
Thanks for the information. I remember when the food stamp rolls kept going up and up and up under Obama.
Funny how liberals cant comprehend the concept that it’s a good thing to not have to rely on government for food stamps. The employees unions that represent the people that decide eligibility don’t like it for sure.
