Iran calling the shots to claim victory. Iran is holding populations in Iraq and others in area hostage.
When I worked with abused people this is one of the things which the bullying abusers told their victims.
“Do what I say and I won’t hit you again.”
If obeyed, the victim was perceived as being weak by the abuser, and so bullying inevitably escalated because bullies only pick on the weak.
