I believe he had a Siver Star, a bronze Star and 3 Purple Hearts from his 4 month tour in Vietnam.
Back in 1971 in his war protesting days he led the group "Vietnam Veterans Against the War" in a protest against the war they fought.
It was during that protest that he supposedly threw away or "gave back" his military medals.
But when he first ran for the U.S. Senate in 1984 he claimed that he still had his medals and that the medals he threw away belonged to some other veteran.
in 1988, and in 1996 Kerry changed his story and claimed that he threw out his ribbons but not his medals.
When he was running for president he denied that he threw his medals away.
But after the campaign ended his story changed again.
He has told so many lies and half truths that even he doesn't know the truth from the line of B.S. he has been feeding the public for the best part of 50 years.
