I'm thinking a radio host mentioned FR and I looked it up. There was so much discussion and sharpness at times that there was no way I wanted to stick my uneducated neck out. BUT I read news from here almost daily. It was my go to place.

I just knew that I’d be flamed, or worse...zotted....once I did stick my neck out.

I think most were very welcoming.

It’s like getting into the swim of things....once you’re in, it’s not as bad, or hard, as you thought it would be.
