I said it 2 days ago. Iran wants to fight the USA in Iraq. However, they didn’t expect that #QasemSoleimani would be killed—as he would have been one of the main generals during this war. They are going to attack the US embassy again. After this, Iran’s Ayatollahs will want war.

By Iranian-backed forces in Iraq attacking the US Embassy, they (Iran and co) are sending a message to the USA & allies that they are prepared to fight on Iraqi soil; not on Iranian soil. I don’t think the US cares what the Mullahs want. War is war and Tehran could suffer.

“Killing” Iran General Qasem Soleimani on IRAQ soil was the icing on the optics cake, IMO.
No violation of Iran “sovereignty”, but the message was clear from “now is your time” President Trump to both Iranians and Iraqis.
