In some circles Suleimani talked about as possible heir to Iran supreme leader.

Whoever carried this out has opened a different phase of confrontation with Iran inside Iraq and out...

XLProffessor...This is a massive escalation of historic proportions. It is one thing to do targeted killings of terrorist leaders, this is the assassination of a major figure in a nation state, like Iran assassinating Mike Pompeo or the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

Suliman was Iran’s warlord in Iraq- for those who don’t know.
No idea what happens now but I expect Iran to respond strongly while it still can.
