Six years. That is amazing, hm.
Did he receive his heart meds the entire time, while on hospice care?
We have a friend who was recently put on hospice care (heart, also)....but, they’re not administering any of his heart/BP meds.
They told the family it would probably be a matter of months, but I said....you never know!
And, it sounds like your dear dad is proof, of that!
They busted a ring of “health” care workers that were taking the medicines for the seniors and selling them at a big profit.
You might want to check into this.
It was a heart valve in the left lower ventricular that was sticking. ( watched it on the monitor. ) It qualified him for hospice
But we did have UTI medicated, and his pancreas was also infected and he needed at GJ tube for several months. We didnt medicate his heart. Dr didnt recommend surgery because of his age and as he told both that dr and the urologist he wouldnt have done it if they did recommend it.
Why would they discontinue heart and BP meds?
