I've been *called* plenty of things, but I've only got the SunkenCiv nick. ;^) One is a great plenty. I think that's true of 99% of FReepers, although some have had two -- one years ago, then they couldn't remember their password from then and signed up as someone else. One person on here (the person who enticed me over here 15 years ago) had a hard drive crash ten or so years ago, lost her password 'lockbox' or whatever it's called, and had to come up with another, similar name. It's easy to believe that's not a unique experience. Some in both those categories asked Jim to merge the two acc'ts, or somethin', so viewing their old profile page will bring up their new one.

Could employ a digital watermark in the page images or animations to act as a beacon. An individual marker for each username could be applied. A user’s device knows it’s actual address, regardless of fooling an intermediate server with a VPN.
