Not sure. It could be all bunk for all I know, but Springmeier claims it’s true. If true, I can only speculate. Lincoln’s family lived in Kentucky for the first 7 years of Abraham’s life. They were not particularly poor at the time of his birth but the family fell on hard times and his father lost most of his land in 1816, so they moved to Indiana at that time.
