I went and saw the movie on Saturday with my buddy who is a die hard Disney trilogy fan. I’m a die hard Original fan.

It’s funny, I ended up enjoying the movie more than he did it seems.

The first 60% of it flat out sucked due to poor pacing and rapid scene changing. It is difficult to sit through and enjoy, but I did have some yummy popcorn.

The last part, and basically the scenes that were between Kylo and Rey, I enjoyed.

I never gave a crap about either of these two characters, but the actors did well with what limited material they had to work with here. Driver and Daisy are good actors. I enjoyed Ridley’s performance in this film well more than I enjoyed Natlaie Portman’s performance in the prequels.

I thought the scene with Adam Driver and *** **** was very good. This was my favorite scene of the movie by far.

Overall, I’d give this move a C or C-, the first part just is not redeemable, but the last part allowed me to be entertained and say that overall I had a good time, and I’m glad that I went.

Otherwise, the theater was totally full, noon showing, there was a very small smattering of applause at the end by some people in the theater.

My friend said he felt the movie was rushed, and generally was disappointed.

So much plot that should have been in the second film of the sequence (instead of the longest Space AAA advertisement ever to grace movie screens...) had to be squeezed into the third.

The critic's reactions are just...precious. ‘Abrams repudiated the brave choices...’ - umm, shouldn't you be angry at the director who outright ignored the plot sketch? You know, a big part of the 4 billion Disney paid for Lucasfilm and the rights to Star Wars?

So you get stuck with 2 movies worth of plotline jammed into one. And that sucks. But yep, once he'd completed the task that Rian Johnson should have done, the movie hits its stride and many great callbacks happen (including the medal which is long overdue.)

All in all, it's worth seeing at least once on the big screen. I didn't feel ripped off buying tickets (though $25 for popcorn and soda, bah, don't get me started on that...)

That was the weakest hiding a spoiler ever! I think.

Some friends told me similar. CP3O had some stand-out moments, and the humor was pretty good.

Otherwise meh, but passable.

I went too and didn’t like it. The story is messy and characters are primitive. A lot of people left the theater after about a half into the movie. Worst of SW easily.

I watched RISE OF SKYWALKER also...
I thought the movie was OK.
It was nice to see Billy Dee Williams again. By the way, he is 82 years old...
I might want to watch RISE OF SKYWALKER again on DVD.
About two women kissing...I don’t really remember the scene. It is a long movie after all...

I have seen all the Star Wars films in theater ever since Disney bought the rights...FORCE AWAKENS is probably the best Star Wars film made under Disney ownership.
