You have skimmed, rather than read, the relevant posts on this matter: posts 148, 151, 154, 156.
My post that offended you (156) excerpted a phrase from post 154 which itself was a partial summary of Lincoln's proposals. The summary did not include the words “with their own consent” and so those words did not appear in my excerpt.
If I had excerpted from post 148 the words “with their own consent” might have appeared.
In one sense you are correct: about 95 percent of the original post 148 did not appear in my post 156.
When the Lincoln memorial is updated for accuracy I will support carving into stone his ill-motivated reasoning for wanting to export black people including the words “with their own consent.”
I read those posts, just not skimmed them. I also read the original 1862 State of the Union Address.
Lincoln supported voluntary immigration for the freed slaves. As did a lot of people in the United States. However, he did not support forced immigration.
By 1863 Lincoln realized that the immigration schemes tried up to that point would not work, so he abandoned the idea as a viable solution to the problem of dealing with the newly freed slave.
