Dear Ruthie...God disagrees. A dozen kids can easily support two poor parents, and the more hands a family has to pitch in, the better it is for everyone.
I think what shes trying to say is that when abortion was outlawed middle class and rich woman were able to pay to go to a country where it was legal and get one. Poor women were stuck. From my readings on pre-Roe times it was common for rich woman to take vacations for this purpose.
Just because some women were willing to do that doesnt mean we should have legalized it in the name of fairness. In fact when abortion is outlawed again I think a better way to handle this is pregnancy test for woman traveling abroad. You leave the country pregnant and come back not pregnant your in trouble.
