I had to stop putting up treesyears ago because of the cat, I would come home from work to the tree laying on the ground every day!!! The little heathen would get under the tree and actually climb up the trunk of the tree from the inside of the tree OMG what a mess every day!!!
Yeah, it's very hard keeping them away from the Christmas tree. At the very least, the bottom ornaments are fair game, in their world.

Christmas tree slide.... my cats are soo good. They lie under the tree and every morning I say..”what great gifts!” But then I got a new cat last Feb... maybe she hates Christmas trees. I’m not allergic to my cats, but I am to real trees. We got a real tree this year. Achooo! Ugh lol.. I may put the darn thing outside.
