I can see I don’t belong here - people take offense to being questioned.

Yeah, that's it, couldn't be ALL of the threads/posts are available and there is a general dislike of spoon feeding babies who won't do any work but want all the answers. But you have gained status as a 'victim' of these horrible Q people.

I was discussing today's visitor with a thread regular via email. I noted that that person had been on our threads before (2018) and expressed a low opinion of us then. The FReeQ I was speaking with said they had not gone back as far as I had in the search.

This gives me a chance to share a very speedy search tip (I appreciate the patience of others familiar with this technique).

I keep my Free Republic preferences set to view 250 posts per page because I need to - but others may want to set this value only when searching.

I navigate to the user's posting history (click their name below their on thread post and click "In Forum" toward the upper left of the profile page)

I use the key combination CONTROL+F to open a search window on the web page. It will usually appear in most browsers on the lower left or upper left. Your browser probably has this search feature but may use a different key combination.

The search window is small - vertically, just large enough for a line of text. I type in Q Anon and this automatically search all 250 posts for that phrase, and if it's on the page of 250 posts, I will see the number of times it appears. I can click the arrow next to the search box to move forward through each instance it was used (it's in the title of our threads) It's surprisingly quick - I can click "next page" and search another 250 posts in a flash.

I also use this search technique when looking for a great post by one of yuze guys - if I can just remember a word or two that you wrote, I can usually find your post very quickly, even on a thread 1500 posts long.

I didn’t ask to be spoon fed answers - I asked a simple question not covered in you boilerplate course material, which I’ve read before.

A lot of people answered me civilly and took no offense. Others were quite condescending and apparently easily offended, and began hurling insults - I’m a troll, I’m a baby, I’m a newbie, I’m lazy...
