Many say “They thought she would not lose”. It seems to me they thought they thought they would never be caught and now they are caught they seem to think they can get away with anything. I suppose some think they might go to jail and this may seem the only way out.
Former Pakistan President and former army chief Pervez Musharraf awarded death sentence by a special court - he was charged with treason for suspending the Constitution & imposing emergency in 2007 - the retired general was tried in absentia since he is in the UAE.
