“if you’re not a liberal when you’re 20, you don’t have a heart.
If you’re not a conservative when you’re 30, you don’t have a brain.”
Something like that. Who said that? I’ve heard it for years. It also describes my life to a T.
Winston Churchill, and the numbers are 20 and 40
Churchill I believe.
Keeping in mind how definitions have changed I disagree about the virtue of EVER being progressive. Foolishness at any age is a defect.
I was a Conservative at 20.
I guess I never had a Heart.
I’m the Tin Man.
I may have been a bit of a liberal when I was 20, but I certainly was no communist. I was having my doubts about some liberals at that time, though. I was starting wonder if a liberal was someone who would stab you in the back, cut you off at the knees, and then have the nerve to say Were doing this for your own good. That was 1975.
In 1972, I considered George McGovern to be a communist.
I was actually a Henry Jackson Democrat.
“If one is twenty and not a liberal one has no heart heart. If one is forty and not a conservative one has no brain’’.- Winston Churchill.
