Here's what you should know ahead of Saturday's competition.
Didn't a global pageant just happen?
Yes. But that was Miss Universe, a competitor pageant that was founded years after Miss World by a swimsuit company (hence the swimsuit competition). Miss World is one of the four major global beauty pageants, and the oldest, the organization says, at almost 70 years old. Miss World delegates from 111 countries spend a month in London competing in events like "Sport," "Talent" and "Beauty with a Purpose" to secure their spot in the televised finale. Miss Universe lasts only a few days.

FYI -
I predict the winner will be the most politically correct choice, rather than the most beautiful contestant. That narrows it down to a transgender or black candidate. Maybe the plus-size candidate.
Not planning on bothering to watch.
Maybe Helliry will be there to show off her new younger look.
I’m still in a gurney, reeling from last Sunday’s Miss Universe Pageant, in which my friend’s daughter was 1st Runner-Up (Miss Puerto Rico). We are so proud of Madison, however. But it stings!
I bet a tranny will win.
Its representative of the mores of the time. When contestants are roasted because they support marriage, not the lefts abomination, its time to let it die.
Miss Puerto Rico should have won out of the 3 finalists for sure.
Man! Those are works of art. Hubba hubba!
Why would anyone watch this? It’s just another forum for PC posturing, and while the women are decorative, there are probably equally attractive ladies just down the street. And those ladies are REAL, not synthetic.
She’s for World Peace!
More importantly, with liberalism gone rampant in these things, those things may be doods and not women at all.
The winner will be a transsexual Somalian refugee.
Bikini mud wrestling. Double elimination. Winner take all.
Umm, no......
Your friend’s daughter should have won.
My cousin’s daughter was once a first runner-up for Miss Illinois. She, too, lost to a politically correct contestant. That’s the world today, and has been for some time. And every time it happens, the world cheers, acting like it’s a miracle a (whatever) won, as if it doesn’t happen more often than not these days.
They should require a makeup free competition.
Thank you, Nea!
Miss Jamaica won.
