Wonder if this is why a recipient takes on the donor’s mannerisms or likes foods or music the donor liked when the recipient didn’t before.

Too scary for forensics.

Too scary for a recipient’s future children.

I had a bone marrow transplant. My sister was my donor. But, I belong to a fb page community of BMT recipients. This is a question that does come up. The most I’ve heard of any new changes are allergies.

But, we do suffer from Graft vs host disease. Even if a ‘perfect match’ is found, it’s not perfect. The donor cells (graft) ‘fights’ the recipient (host) and can cause issues in any organ. My eyes have gvhd. My vision is terrible hence my messed up lists sometimes. Lol but, many have gvhd of the lungs, liver, gut, skin, etc
