I thought the pictures were interesting> I don't believe I've ever seen street photos of arriving diplomats in Mexico. Barr's convoy is seen traveling slowly through narrow streets with residential housing towering over it, people so near the cars. No exit if things "went wrong" in a country beset by cartels. Even the compound doors that must be opened to admit or allow cars to exit look like something you'd see surrounded by a moat. The Mexican president chose to tweet the picture of him meeting with Barr. Interesting decision.

A “Green Zone” like in Iraq would be needed for an assault on the cartels.

Cartels and mules and everyone helping illegals into the US should be declared terrorists, targeted with drones or troops regardless of the side of the border they are on. Since we are defending our homeland, how about a $10,000 bounty on each captured alive and $5,000 on each captured dead?

I hope Barr is back in the US now! Those narrow streets do not look very safe at all, hopefully MX security knew who/what was in all those buildings. Did you see the “heavy wooden doors”?

I assume AG Barr has found some inconstancies in Obama’s foreign aid to Mexico...

It's gonna be tough to go up against the cartels as long as they threaten every family member and friends and then follow through with the threats. The only way to counter that would be with mega force blowing up hundreds at a time to get their attention.I doubt that happens.

It would literally require huge drones or jet planes knocking out cartel headquarters, compound after compound and even then the entire country might blow up.

Tough play here I don't know how they will get it done.
