MEXICO CITY (AP) Mexicos president and the U.S. attorney general met behind closed doors Thursday, about a week after U.S. President Donald Trump suggested his government could classify Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations.
The Foreign Relations Department said the meeting between Attorney General William Barr and President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was cordial and respectful and touched on establishing a common front against the cartels.

They all look alike, Jim.
I assume AG Barr has found some inconstancies in Obama’s foreign aid to Mexico...
It would literally require huge drones or jet planes knocking out cartel headquarters, compound after compound and even then the entire country might blow up.
Tough play here I don't know how they will get it done.

When President Trump Tweeted about the cartel killing of the MOrmon family near the border, he said something about “War” and that they needed to be “wiped from the face of the earth.” That last phrase is the same he used when referring to ISIS. He also offered to assist the Mexican president in getting rid of the cartel, saying “Sometimes it takes an army to defeat an army.”
Then president Trump talked about declaring the cartels terrorist organizations, a move that would let him take action against them - so the President of Mexico want to “talk”.
I gave the idea to Lloyd Braun! He’s going to tell the mayor to run with it!
I get it.
But ISIS is thousands of miles away and the cartel right at our border. Also who knows how much property and how many cartel types are in the US. I don’t really think you can compare the two.The cartel has literally billions to do whatever they want with. I don’t see them giving up or giving in.In all likelyhood it would be a war.
We’ve all seen these crowded street scenes in movies. It never turns out well.
