I’m not so sure debt reduction is in the plan.
It sure doesn’t appear that way now, but he did have to spend big bucks bringing the military up to snuff - first things first. After he’s done a lot of “fixing up”, and the economy is booming and actually taking in more revenue, he may be able to attack the debt.
I think his second term will be reserved for those things that may be a bit more difficult to get through. Hopefully he’ll have Republican House and Senate to help. Welfare reform should be a little easier if there are plenty of jobs available. Cutting government programs and departments would be a great saving.
