Did you notice how they (History.com) say the later version was written by a ‘Christian socialist’?
Those two CERTAINLY don’t go together (at least in my book :). Maybe they mean a different meaning of socialist? Hmmmm...scratching my head...lol.

I think the political party Merkel belongs to in Germany is “Christian Socialist”, I always thought of that as an oximoron.
