Sounds like a very caring family. Young children often carry virus from school. His immune system is most probably low and as Rusty too...being around many people really puts one in a chancy situation.

He’s a retired principal superintendent of school and volunteers as a “grand pa”. In the school where one of his daughters teaches. And then there’s the nursing homes he volunteers and then..... Always around people. But except for some sugar issues his health has been very good.

You are so right NIKK.
Our hospital is not allowing anyone under 12 to visit as it is flu season.
But even at that, I’m thinking my hubby caught his cold while in the hospital, he’s been no where else.

Yes, I try to stay away from sick people. I’m usually good at not catching anything, but living with 2 sick kids and I’m already weakened, I got sick this time.
