I thought of you yesterday evening. Our grand daughter read us, "The Grinch"...with a British accent...LOL We were surprised and pleased. She's 10 years old. She's always a surprise. She also played a couple songs on the piano...she started lessons a couple months ago.

I some how got myself into a problem leading up to Christmas and had to wear an air cast on both ankles Christmas Eve. Not noticeable but only to me...I think STRESS and being over tired really plays a big part of health. Last night...I went to bed without pain for the first time in days.

I hope your day was filled with lots of love and laughter yesterday.

NIKK dear, now that the Holidays are almost behind us, I’m hoping some of your stress will be reduced.

I know worrying about hubby will still be there but let’s pray for a good outcome to his health problem.

Hi NIKK!

Glad you had a nice time with the grands, and I hope your ankles are better!

Yesterday was fun. The jury is still out on the Charcuterie Christmas. Pros are 1) food is set out then you sit and relax for the rest of the day, 2) nobody complains about being too stuffed, because you have a little plate, then maybe a few more bits, then you stop 3) it’s a change and there’s much more variety. Cons 1) IT COSTS A HECK OF A LOT MORE THAN A NORMAL DINNER! I usually buy a big turkey for about $70, then everything else is less than $100. This assortment of meats, cheeses, veggies, various puff pastries with spinach, cheese, etc., bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp, lamb on skewers, smoked duck, etc., etc. was over $300, plus $200 for a few bottles of wine, Grand Marnier, Bailey’s, spiced rum with egg nog. Far more prep time, far too many leftovers, more cleanup time, and the biggest con....not a drop of gravy to be found!!!

It’s my daughter’s call, as she puts it on every year now. She does all of the work, so if that’s what she chooses, so be it. I’d rather go back to a nice dinner.
