wow ...how good is that....hallmark worthy...family is great...
Friday we went to a “cousins” get together...adults only...bring a dish
My blood aunt married an italian and they kept having kids...and the kids kept having kids...
It was great.
I went to one of these cousin’s weddings a couple of weeks ago.
The photographer asked that everyone who is a descendant(and spouses) of my aunt and uncle, please line up for a picture.
There were approx. 200 guests + a wedding party of 20. Had to be 50-60 in the picture. (Not all that could have been in the picture were at the wedding either) The rest of us who didn’t make the cut were mostly my aunt & uncle’s siblings and their kids.
My aunt was Irish and of course, we Irish are “tolerated”...too funny.
What I do have coming is 100 indoor snowballs. It’s 50 degrees here(Illinois burb west of Chicago) and will stay this way for a while.
The family doesn’t know it yet, but we will have a snowball fight...
and best of all we don’t forget the reason for the season...
It sure sounds like we have been blessed...
My Lutheran niece married into a mixed marriage. Italian Catholics and Irish Catholics. Both with large families 12-15 (with so many kids it was redundant to say they were catholic). So I DO understand what you are saying. The wedding and reception were wonderful. My mom was just showing early symptom of dementia. The love and care they gave my parents as the elders of our family ( only 7 on moms side and 8 on dads) was so impressive. Dad kept in contact with the other grandparents for years. So much laughter.
LOL....I bet the photographer was a bit surprised....when will this group pic stop GROWING??!!
Love it.
We have lots of cousins, but most have moved away, so we don’t get together as often as we did, when we were younger.
Blessings!
