If Democrats don't send articles of #impeachment to the Senate, Republicans can just find them in default and hold a vote to acquit the president, end of sorry story.— Joel B. Pollak (@joelpollak) December 19, 2019

NIKK..yes, very late to comment Tweety. Perhaps this has already been discussed and moved on...posting to show many other American's are confused too.

That'd be great. I've heard a lot of options/possibilities.

I'd like to hear some legit legal/constitutional discussion on this ... calling

I doubt they know that. They violated 5th, 6th & 14th Amendment rights & don’t care.

The Democrats would be committing obstruction of Congress and therefore they can all be expelled. Brilliant!

I don't see a reason to hold a vote ...if they are not delivered they just become MOOT .... it's an equivalent notion to LATCHES

It doesn't matter. This is all a decoy to detract from the Clinton email/Benghazi trial starting tomorrow.

That's not how it works. Sorry.

Actually, Joel is correct.

The Senate can hold the trial whether she sends the Articles of Impeachment or not. "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments."

The Senate doesn’t even have to hold a trial. The constitution conveys the power to hold a trial on the Senate but doesn’t require one. Since Pelosi and dems violated all their rules to rush the impeachment, the Senate can change their rules and refuse to hold a trail

Besides, did Pelosi and the dems lie about the need for urgency to impeach the President? If it was so urgent to impeach him that they had to violate rules and past practices, how can they hold it up now? Malarkey and Roaches

I would like to see what the house rules say on the subject if it says the speaker ""shall" transmit the articles and appoint managers" but for some reason, their rules page is offline im sure its TOTALLY a coincidence.

McConnell has all the power, Art 1 S 3 CL 6 gives Senate the authority to try the case, they have the sole power of trying impeachment. Cocaine Mitch is going to have a field day.
