I can’t sleep as I keep looking up reconstructive surgery for my mouth. After this last minor surgery my tongue has been growing to the floor of my mouth so I have difficulty eating and talking. It had started to do that after the first surgery even though they had placed a graft. This last surgery doc says he will fix it. He said to call him if it started again, and I noticed it getting bad last weekend. I didn’t call because I’m going in Thursday morning, and I cant just travel 300 miles at the drop of a hat. I’m afraid I’m going to have to have another surgery just to fix what didn’t work the last time. When I saw him 2 weeks ago, I told him something fell out after 3 days which had been inserted to prevent tongue from attachment, doc says he thought it would have stayed in longer.

I’m sorry to write such a boring, long post, I guess I’m trying to figure out what to do. I move my tongue all the time but it didn’t work.

Not boring at all. My sister has implants done and often she would have to go in because skin would grow up around the area where the tooth was to go. I think this happened several times. I believe she has 4 or 6 implants. Hopefully this next time the doctor will be able to place the insert and stay until the tongue is healed. Shame you're so far from your doctor. Really makes it hard for you.

I’m sorry to hear of the continuing problems that you are having.

Seems very bizarre that it can’t be fixed.
