Speaking to reporters under cover of an umbrella before boarding Marine One, Pres Trump said he'd have more to say about the Articles of Impeachment at his rally this evening in Hershey, PA.

Pres adamant he dd nothing wrong warranting impeachment. Again calls his July 25 conversation with Pres Zalenskiy of Ukraine "a perfect conversation." And in the 2020 election, still thinks he's "way ahead of everybody" in the polls.

Pres Trump tells reporters the two Articles of Impeachment unveiled today are "weak, very weak." But he says Republicans "stuck together through the witch hunt." He calls the USMCA deal "a silver lining" on impeachment. Feels Dems wents ahead with USMCA out of "embarrassment."

WH statement also says Pres Trump urged Lavrov to support US efforts "to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and ensure the denuclearization of North Korea." Pres said better US/Russia relations "would allow increased trade between our countries.”

WH says Pres Trump used meeting with Sergey Lavrov to warn "against any Russian attempts to interfere in United States elections and urged Russia to resolve the conflict with Ukraine." They also discussed ways to resolve cases of detained Americans held by Russia & vice versa.....Mark Knoller(CBS)
