The FBI hid from the FISA court information from Bruce Ohr that stated that Steele's reporting was going directly to the Clinton campaign, that he was being paid to share that information with the media, and that he was desperate about Trump not being the US President.

The FBI didn't correct their false claim that Steele wasn't the source of the Yahoo News article even after they learned they learned about all of Steele's media contacts.

The FBI hid from the FISA court information obtained by a spy talking to Papadopoulos in which Papadopoulos denied the Trump campaign was involved in the DNC email hack, you know, the entire basis for their investigation in the first place.

And we have our first mention of Mifsud. The FBI hid from the FISA court that Mifsud denied giving Papadopoulos the information he shared with Downer which was the entire basis of the start of Crossfire Hurricane.

Also, the FBI knew that Page had no role in the alleged "Republican platform change on Ukraine" but didn't inform the FISA court of that, even though it was incorrectly part of the information they used to get it approved.

The decision by the FBI to not inform the proper people about the contradictions between Steele and his primary sub source was serious enough that had it been known at the time it may have scrapped the FISA renewal all together.

Holy crap, not only did the FBI not tell the OI about the inconsistencies between Steele and his sub source, they made it sound like the sub source confirmed Steele's reporting instead of contradicting it.

The DOJ even used the FBI's claims about Steele's sub source to defend Steele's work in July of 2018, until Horowitz informed them that the source actually contradicted Steele instead of corroborating him. LOL freaking ridiculous.

It gets worse for Clinesmith, one of the signatories on the final FISA renewal refused to sign it until he got an answer about Carter Page's past work as a source for the government, and only signed off after Clinesmith edited the email to lie and claim Page was not a source.

Horowitz doesn't speculate about whether or not any of that information would have stopped a FISA or renewal from being granted but it's obvious that it would have, everything they omitted contradicted their entire basis for the warrants.

On the lies and omissions:

"...we believe that all of them taken together resulted in FISA applications that made it appear that the information supporting probable cause was stronger than was actually the case."

The IG didn't find any documented instances that the FBI admitted to intentionally deceiving the FISA court but also didn't accept their answers as to why they omitted key facts that disputed their entire premise. "We don't know, don't remember, didn't think it was necessary" BS

Horowitz concluded that the senior officials in charge of the FISA process should have questions regarding the accuracy of Steele's reporting and the probable cause for the FISA but didn't. Of course not, they were after Trump and didn't care if they were lying or not.

Bruce Ohr admitted that he didn't tell his supervisors about his contacts with Christopher Steele because he was worried that they would have told him to stop meeting with him. Given the way these people were after Trump they probably would have given him a medal instead.

🤦‍♂️There were no rules that said that Bruce Ohr had to notify anyone that his wife was working for Fusion GPS, the same company paying Steele, who was funneling information through him to the FBI after the FBI fired him. Are you freaking kidding me?

So far we're learning that there are hardly any rules at all about what the FBI and DOJ can do and when there are rules they just ignore them anyways and as long as they don't write an email saying "I'm intentionally committing a crime here" there's no way to know their intent.

The FBI used spies to target Trump campaign advisors and record their conversations and the OIG is concerned that there was no policy requiring permission from a senior DOJ official for SPYING ON A PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN. I'm concerned about the SPYING part.
