Once the House votes to impeach, the Articles of Impeachment are transmitted immediately to the Senate. The Senate trial starts immediately.

The House can vote to impeach at any time: tomorrow, during the presidential campaign, or the day before the election. But once that vote takes place and the Articles of Impeachment are transmitted to the Senate, the House is out of the game except for appointing impeachment managers to present its case to the Senate for trial.

Thank you, that answers my question.

As soon as the House impeaches it goes immediately to the Senate.

The rabid dims in the House can’t sit on it.
