When I realized what had taken place, I wrote the essay about June 4 of the battle and what these men had sacrificed and what they achieved.
What I take away from the battle was the fact that Americans were very brave and very determined. These characteristics were what allowed the Americans to come from a position of losing to one where they prevailed and won. As Americans we should take this to heart and act according if the time ever comes for us to do the same.
