DHS12345’s theory is that it due to the Sun Solar minimum that interacts with the Earth's mag field thereby stabilizing Earth's magnetic field. A current produced magnetic field is a moving charged particle which can include both charged particles flying through space and impinging on the Earth and the sun's own mag field.
