This is a treasure trove of film showing many different ships during the golden age of the great transatlantic liners. Most of them look to be from the French Line (Compagnie Générale Transatlantique or CGT). But there are lots of other famous liners that make their way into the various clips. Some of it looks like it was filmed on various sailing days from the CGT piers. This is solid gold for ocean liner enthusiasts. (b&w silent appx 20 mins)

I see one liner.
Take My Wife,,,
Please!
4:28 Either the Rex or Conte di Savoia.
4:33 On the left, uncertain. The funnels suggest a Red Star liner but due to the black and white its really hard to tell.
5:44 Foreground unknown. Background either the Majestic or Paris. I think the former.
10:30 RMS Aquitania
After that its mostly Normandie, I think during her 1938 Caribbean cruise.
The sailing day shots look like they were from different days and I’m not sure they are all Normandie. Some of the signs mention other ships.
The Rex and Savoia were noted for their protruding Titanic-style sterns. Fine ships, destroyed by war.
They were indeed very beautiful ships. And they bucked the prevailing trend towards art deco in their interiors, opting instead for baroque.

I love the four master. I remember back in 64 seeing one as a hulk in Broad Bay up from Waldobro.
