Captured from Fox & Friends this morning, President Trump wants his day in court (Senate) and wants a trial.
Note: I captured the video and uploaded to YouTube. I did not insert any ads or extraneous crap into the video. YouTube may do their own hijinks with it, that's not up to me.
If President Trump wants his day in the Senate to clear his name, I say let him have it. I'm good with that. I stand by my President 100%.

This impeachment thing has turned into one large drain the swamp ad for Trump. A trial would be like a World Series game 7 event, ‘swamp drainers’ versus the ‘political entitlements’.

Therefore there will not be 218 votes IF articles are ever introduced.

That’s an excellent thought. No matter what they do, they’re screwed. They’re in a bad spot.
They thought all this was going to hurt the president but it has backfired. Our side is more fired up than ever and many are coming over to our side and many on their side will stay at home this election.
But we can never dare to underestimate them.

I posted somewhere last week (either here on FR or a friends Fakebook page..) that the Blue Dog Democrats are NOT going to vote for impeachment. One or more of their members have already said so that impeachment is a non-starter with them.
If we subtract them from the equation, there aren't enough Democrats left to vote in favor of impeachment. I said last Sunday morning that Democrats didn't have the votes and if they did schedule a vote it'd fail.
I think President Trump also knows this and his call this morning to impeach him and force the trial in the Senate is scaring the piss out of Pelosi and Schiffhead right now.
The truth is, Pelosi and Schiff don't WANT a trial. They simply want to hang their lies over President Trump's head until next election day.
If that fails, their next goal is to delegitimize the next election if President Trump wins (and he will. By huge margins.)

it’s starting to look like they’ll simply continue to drag out the hearings and then punt if/when the polls turn against them ... they’ll probably start by repeating the entire hearings fiasco in the Judiciary Committee ...
the Dems would be completely insane to let this go to the Senate for a trial as both Schiff and the whistleleaker would be subpoenaed to testify, as well as all of the whistleleaker’s source and collaborators, exposing the whole sordid business as a sick coup by the Dems, the Deep State, and the media to illegally eject President Trump from office ... furthermore, if the Senate wanted to, they could subpoena witnesses to prove the actual corruption in the Ukraine that President Trump was worried about, including Hunter Biden’s involvement ....
