Speaking of the Aztecs, San Diego State University’s Aztecs had to fight to keep its name, but in a compromise had to give up its warrior Aztec logo in favor of an interlaced S, D, and arrow. The charge was apprropriation of another’s culture and demonstraring disrespect of the bloodthirsty Aztecs.
