I had a well-to-do socialite classmate in a craft class that I struck up a conversation with. They are more or less conservative but I think they are conservative somewhat like they are “Christian.” Make a slightly tolerable stab at walking the talk but not so as to break any sweat in the exercise.
It was clear soon in the conversation about TRUMP that she was in la la land. She said she liked what he did etc. but HATED him as a person; couldn’t stand to hear him etc. etc.
I didn’t mount a vigorous defense as she would have just turned it off. But I need to get back with her and see how much I can influence her very ignorant thinking and wholesale distorted view of Trump. No small task. And she’s one of the more conservative people in the class.
I usually wear both a Trump T-shirt and a Trump/Q hat now with Trump/”winning” buttons, all the time, while driving, shopping, while shuttling my children to/from/at activities, even in my home. I get lots of smiles and thumbs up daily, ‘you are so brave’, with strangers sometimes talking to me. If they engage me in conversation, I usually try to further them along the awakening...
“I like him, but I don’t like his tweets.”
Me — “I love his tweets! That’s how he bypasses the fake news! We need to be active consumers of the news, seeking it out and not relying on the networks to feed it to us. Think about it.”
“Finally, a conservative that fights for us.”
Me — “Think how well everything is going, with trade, with the economy, with terrorism. It only took Trump 2 years to turn this all around. I think he’s awesome, but what the presidents and politicians have done in the past to bring down our nation was ON PURPOSE. THINK ABOUT IT.”
“I do not want to degrade homosexuals and people that feel they are they are another gender, but that stuff gets pushed on us and our kids at every turn.”
Me — “Studies have shown that many of those that have ‘transitioned’ want to go back, but they really can’t. Many commit suicide. Gender is not a switch you can turn on or off. It is encoded in every cell by chromosomes, amputations and plastic surgery do not change that. When you get right down to it, this movement is really about the worship of baphomet. Think about it.”
