I'm old enough to remember the Austin Texas Tower Shooter who killed a total of 15 or 16 people from the observation deck of the University of Texas tower. It was the year I graduated high school.
He was considered one of the first mass murderers in the country's recent history. He appeared normal but had documented mental health problems and even had a small tumor in his brain that might have contributed to his deadly massacre.
I believe he murdered his mother and his wife before starting on his rampage on the Austin campus.
Yes killed both mother and wife prior to the Tower shootings.
You got a few years on me there - just a kid, but I remember it vividly, as I do the Richard Speck murders. Horrific events.
The authorities said the tumor wasn’t a causative factor, but I think that would be hard to determine.
