IIRC wearing purple meant that you were a member of the resistance. I read it as a signal to the whole world that “I’m an idiot!”.

***I noticed that the cbs news affilliate in Orlando FL area began to wear purple after the 2016 election. Now they have days when all newscasters wear purple ties or dresses. Their background is also purple. This morning they are all decked out in purple. I take it as support for the liberal agenda.
