I’m a boomer with two millennial sons. I spent enormous amounts of time with them, stayed involved in their lives even after their mother and I divorced. She and I are both college educated. They were offered every educational opportunity which they idiotically declined, including vocational training if academics were not their cup of tea. Because they did not take advantage of opportunity when offered and, instead, listened to their brain-dead millennial friends, they will likely just get by and exist the rest of their lives. They chose their own hell. They will have to live in it now.

Our own kids have made mostly bad decisions as well. The weird thing is that we now have grandkids that can only be described as amazing. This is mostly despite of their parents, not because of them. Somehow kids seem to turn out better when they face a few hardships than when they are coddled.
