A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death at an Oxon Hill Popeyes after an altercation apparently involving the restaurant's popular chicken sandwich, which is recently back on the menu after a hiatus.
An argument between two men started inside the Popeyes at 6247 Livingston Rd. in Maryland, reportedly while the victim was in line for the sandwich, then spilled out into the street, where the victim was stabbed.
Investigators believe the argument arose over Davis cutting in line .
"... it's something we have to question in terms of how we're interacting with one another as a society, is how does a confrontation over cutting line lead to a death," Chief Hank Stawinski said at a Tuesday afternoon press conference.

Just me, but Death seems a bit harsh for line jumping as far as punishment goes...Bastinado, maybe, but DEATH is extreme...
Here is the perp...
No Popeye’s around this area.
Several Chik-fil-a’s, though.
Even Burger King’s getting in on the chicken sandwich thing, now.
GEORGE: I didn't get any bread.
JERRY: Just forget it. Let it go.
GEORGE: Um, excuse me, I - I think you forgot my bread.
SOUP NAZI: Bread -- $2 extra.
GEORGE: $2? But everyone in front of me got free bread.
SOUP NAZI: You want bread?
GEORGE: Yes, please.
SOUP NAZI: $3!
GEORGE: What?
SOUP NAZI: No soup for you!
So is the slogan
A sandwich to kill for
or
A sandwich to die for
“The regular chicken seems smaller than before.”
That is a common occurrence. LOL.
[The Air Jordans of Chicken Sandwiches.]
An excellent way to put it.
I haven’t looked yet. I hope it wasn’t “teens” or anything like that.
[As long as the one that cut in line was the one stabbed to death, this is technically a WIN!]
I almost agree. Hope the chicken sandwich was not to die for but...apparently...
I hated it when people started using the phrase “to die for” with all kinds of things.
But in this case, apparently literally.

Has he been aware of Air Jordans and the rioting under the Kenyan Usurper Obama?
I wonder if the deceased was raised by a two parent family.
And all he got was stabbed to death? Surely he should have been hung, drawn, and quartered beforehand.
Same here thugs and hootrats and Obama’s sons, all frequent this place as well as Church’s chicken. I’m not sure what’s the deal with this chicken sandwich. Don’t they already make a chicken sandwich? Yesterday around 2pm I had no idea but the right lane of a 2 lane main road with a 40mph speed limit was stopped. I thought there was an accident but it was a 1/8 miles bumper to bumper traffic and when I got in the left lane to pass this mess I noticed they were all going into Popeyes. I had no idea of this “new sandwich” but my initial reaction was, did all these people (the ones that usually frequent this place) all get their paycheck on the same day and they had to get dem some Popeyes?
Gun free? They have to limit them to 4 guns, 2 knives and one hand grenade.
He did cut in line at a fried chicken place.
Seems like he had it comin...
I did the same not too long ago, with a big black dude in a chain restaurant, by accident.
He put out his arm to block me, and at that point I realized he was still waiting to order. I said ‘sorry’, he said ‘no problem’.
Moral of story: There are other ways to handle these types of situations.
Been there once,,,,,Never again.
Well there you go.
You never hear about this sort of thing at Chick-fil-a.
