Taking good images from a video is more complicated than I care to get involved in. Folks who do so are welcome to post to me in a form suitable for putting in my archive.
Apologies for my being so obscure. What I was TRYING to say was that Q-cards were created a long time ago. I had made a video of the images that already existed. Haven't heard anything about them in a long time and didn't search now.
As for capturing images, the way I do it is to play the video in my free copy of VLC, pause it at a frame I like, and click the Video menu tab. When it comes up, I click the bottom entry "Take Snapshot."
It does a quick text to tell me where it put it on my computer. I actually capture about 5 times so that I can remember what it said so I can find the images. I'm a trifle slow that way. Then I go to the place it put it, move it to a place I'll remember, pull the PNG image into my image program and save the PNG as a JPG.

There HAS to be an easier way, but that's what I do.

Never examined them that closely, CJ.
