People in prison are alive. Until somebody whacks 'em out or they kill themselves. Often they also die of natural causes.

I saw an interview with Baden and from what I saw + heard I don’t believe Baden ever inspected the actual body of Epstein - but rather based his opinion on the reports he was given. I found that very curious & made me think he was put in witness protection.
