IIRC, didn’t the Disney cruise ships dock at nearby Greater St. James Island and then run shuttle boats to LStJI to carry kids to go “snorkeling”?
And, Google Earth occasionally shows cruise ships docked at West Indies Dock (Lat , Long -64.923452°) in Charlotte Amalie East (on St. John Island).
I'm not surprised that Disney made such commercial excursions accessible to their passengers when they dock at St. John. However, I assume that other cruise companies do likewise -- just as they offer museum tickets, etc...

What I wasn't aware of was URLs indicating that Disney did/does offer access to such 3.5 hour excursions.

IMHO, offering tickets to an established local commercial service doesn't quite meet the description of, "Disney Cruises visit Epstein Island".
